Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program
The Gluten-Free Restaurant Awareness Program* (GFRAP) is a program of the Gluten Intolerance Group of North America® that facilitates a relationship between individuals with celiac disease and other forms of gluten intolerance, and restaurants. The relationship builds a win-win opportunity for restaurants to provide service to people following a gluten-free diet, and to gain increased patronage. Participating restaurants are able to provide gluten-free meals from their regular meals. Participating GFRAP restaurants enthusiastically welcome gluten-free diners.

By working together, using consistent guidelines and listing participating restaurants on one website, we are creating a growing network that allows those following a gluten-free diet to socialize and travel with more confidence in dining away from home.

Bard's Beer at White Spot
A great evening was had by members of the Victoria Chapter who dined at White Spot on Caledonia. The sweet potato fries prepared in White Spot's dedicated deep fryer accompanied by a cold glass of Bard's Beer (made from gluten-free malted sorghum) was the hit of the evening. A set menu with just a few of the celiac-friendly options that this White Spot location offers made for a delicious evening.
Fun was provided by a draw for two Bard's Beer T-Shirts and everyone took home a very slick and transportable Bard's Beer bottle opener. FMI about Bard's Beer

It is sensitive enough to detect levels of gluten as low as 10 parts per million (ppm). This simple test is also small and portable for use at restaurants or when traveling. It can be used to test individual ingredients in foods
